In 1902, Joseph’s father, Luigi, founded. American Star Cork Co., Inc., a company that produced cork products, including plugs and liners were used to seal brewed liquids into bottles and kegs.
In 1935, Luigi's son Joseph Petrosino founded ACME under the name ACME Metal Cap and Closure. The company was equipped with metal product cap seals for cork and gasket sealing.
In the 1960s, when color cosmetics, such as blushes and eye shadow began to flourish, Thomas Petrosino, the grandson of the founder, took over the company, changed to produce metal powder pan (Pan/Godets) for cosmetics and then fully entered the cosmetics packaging industry, supporting cosmetics products.
